Wednesday Night Round Up 12/20
Main Even if it took me until 12/21 to make it to the shop...

As usual, in the order in which I scooped them up off the floor beside the nightstand.

Wednesday Night Round Up 11/15
Main Hey all,

Been a while since I did any reviews, so here's a monster. I'll be skipping images for the time being, but to make up for it I offer you a proverbial shit-ton of pellet reviews.

In no particular order, On to the show!

Cue Soundgarden Or Hello Minnesotans!
Main Hello from Minnesota!

It's Friday night, and we're safely enconsed in our hotel, excited for FallCon tomorrow and Sunday. If you're in the Twin Cities come on down to the State Fair Grounds and say hello. If you're coming over because we met at the show, thanks! I hope you'll like what you see and come around each week for more.

I do hope, however you got here, that you pardon my whining. It's been a rocky road for a while, but the ship is righting itself and we'll be seeing a lot more FRONTIER in the near future. Issue Two wraps up around Page 32. Issue Three will see some important new characters introduced and Issue Four will wrap up the first volume of FRONTIER. Early next year we'll start Volume Two, and there will besome exciting changes there too. More on that as we get closer.

In the meantime, welcome new readers! Welcome back old readers! As I write on the covers, "Here's to the future!"

Breaking News- I Suck...
Main So, um, many of you may have come looking for a page and not found it. I do apologize, I was busy working on the mini-comic for FallCon and SNAP! and it just got away from me. Let's just pick it up on Friday afternoon and see where we are at. I'm betting it'll be page 31.

Plus, more news on the min-comic and how you can get your very own copy, even if you aren't in either Minnesota or Michigan.

See you Friday!

Running Late
Main Sorry, guys. After a couple of uninteruptted weeks, outside pressures are taking thier toll again. I'm working all 7 days this week, so as you might guess, it doesn't leave much time for drawing. I do have a page in progress, and hope to have it up sooner rather than later. Sooner might mean Sunday night, but it may also mean Monday night or Tuesday day. I just wanted to warn you ahead of time.

As usual, thanks for your patience. New page soon!

100
Main Hey, look at that. A page 2 weeks in a row! People could get used to this!

And not only a page, but a significant page at that. This, as the title of the post suggests, is the 100th page of FRONTIER online. That's a body of work. It took a little longer than expected to get to this point, but we made it. If it had just been me doing this, it may never have happened. Thankfully there are a boatload of people pushing me on, so I'm going to take a moment here and thank them.

Always first is my wife Krista. From the 15 page animation school project typed on an antique word processor to the latest page, she see them all first and has had nothing but encouragement and the best and most constructive criticism for the whole thing. It wouldn't be half as good as it is without you, and neither would I. I love you, Kris. Thanks so much.

My Mom and Dad are huge supporters too. One of the proudest moments of my life was giving my Dad a comic I had created. I knew when I saw him looking through it he got it. He's a handy guy, MacGuyver handy. If the fate of the free world was at stake I'd want him besides me. Between his practical mechanical skills and all that Tom Clancy he's read over the years I know we'd get out of whatever scrape it was okay. He's still my hero.

Then there's my Mom. If Kris is the best set of ears my ideas can have, it's only because I don't live at home anymore. I come alive in the evenings, which lead to any number of nights where I chased Mom up the stairs with plot ideas or new character concepts. FRONTIER was never a part of those discussions, but many of the seeds it grew from were planted in those conversations. Mom also is the first to complain if I miss a week or two or six. I think we're getting back on track, Mom, but give me a week or two to make sure.

Lastly, there's my ever loyal, eternally patient, brother I never had best friend Karl. He helped to make sure there was a site to post to, and continues to make sure I don't break it. If ever I call in a blind panic about a technical issue or hacker attack, he's always ready to jump back into the breach. He's got a family of his own to worry about, I'm just lucky he considers me part of it.

And thanks to all of you who read the strip, or bought the print comic. Who put up with my abscences and fits of pique. I want this to be great, and I'd do it for myself even if there wasn't an audience, its just nice to know there is.

Anyway... a couple of pages left to get to the end of Issue Two. In Issue Three we'll meet some new players and hopefully get to some more exciting stuff.

See you next week!

New Page- One Away From A Landmark!
Main So here we are, a new page and only 2 weeks after the last one!

In all seriousness, I AM trying very hard to get back on track. I've got the next couple pages layed out and I'm also hard at work on something new for the conventions this fall. More on that as we get closer.

There are also a couple of announcements...

1. A second site!
Last week I started a blog to serve as a place for a daily dose from the archives and to allow people to try to comment on the other stuff, reviews and such. It's got a security shield that the spambots that assaulted our comments will have a harder time to get around.
You can find it at Good-Comics...The Blog. I hope to get back to some reviews soon, but work and the comic... and happy personal stuff... are kicking my butt.

2. Fall Comic Conventions!
After the disaster that was Columbus wiped us out for the summer, it's time to get back on the road! First up, FallCon up in Minneapolis!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

FallCon is just the best show ever. Even nobodies like me are treated like kings. And they get fabulous talent from the top tier of comics. This year the headliners are Adam Hughes and Jose Luis Garica-Lopez!!! Those are just two of the fantastic creators attending. You also get Paul Taylor of Wapsi Square, Zach Miller of Joe and Monkey and Abby Lehrke of The Green Avenger. All fine web comicers all. If you're in the area and you even like comics a little, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

We aren't confirmed yet, but the plan is to be at SNAP! this year, as well.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I had a great time at the show last fall, and it looks like all the brow beating from the attendees did the trick as Dan and Katie are doing it again. It's a fine reason to spend a fall weekend in Detroit.

That's all for now, but a new page soonish. Only 2 or 3 left before we wrap up Issue Two, so stay tuned!
